Discovery Center At Water's Edge

Technical Talk Tuesday

Free quarterly presentations on emerging technology, innovation, & the science shaping our future.

Technical Talk Tuesdays (TTT) is a free quarterly lecture series hosted by the Discovery Center at Water’s Edge (DCWE) in collaboration with the Northeastern Maryland Technology Council (NMTC). These talks are designed to engage the community, inspire curiosity, and introduce audiences – especially students and young learners – to important science and technology topics shaping the world today.

Each session features expert speakers discussing cutting-edge innovations through the iDisrupter Series, which explores emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, advanced 3D printing, and quantum computing. The series also includes Science Talks that explore the history and evolution of technology, covering topics like the origins of computing, the development of early computer networks, and how those systems eventually evolved into the modern internet.

Following each presentation, attendees are invited to participate in questions, discussions, and demonstrations when available. To make the experience even more engaging, light refreshments will be provided, and Discovery Center exhibits will remain open free of charge for one hour after the talk so guests can continue exploring and learning.

This free community series reflects the shared mission of DCWE and NMTC to inspire interest in science and technology, support STEM education, and help build the innovators and problem-solvers of tomorrow.
