The Discovery Center at Water’s Edge hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including classes, workshops, field trips, community programs, and private events. If you are attending a scheduled program or reserved activity, we recommend arriving a few minutes early at the designated location to allow time for check-in and preparation before the event begins.

Inclement Weather Policy
During the week, the Discovery Center follows Harford County Public Schools (HCPS) decisions regarding weather-related delays or closures.
If HCPS closes or delays school operations due to weather, scheduled programs at the Discovery Center may also be affected.
For weekend events, decisions will be made based on the safety of our staff and visitors. Any weather-related delays or closures will be communicated as soon as possible and posted on the Discovery Center event calendar and social media channels.
We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the safety of our guests and team members during inclement weather.
