Summer Camps at the Discovery Center at Water’s Edge provide an exciting environment where campers explore science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on activities and creative challenges. Campers participate in engaging projects, team challenges, and interactive experiments that connect real-world science to everyday life.
Each camp is designed to encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and creativity while giving students opportunities to build new skills, collaborate with others, and discover new interests. With a blend of fun, learning, and exploration, campers are inspired to think big and explore the possibilities of STEM.

Future Innovators Summer Camps are open to students ages 6–12 and run weekly throughout the summer. Each camp session takes place Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The cost of camp is $375 per camper per week, and registration is limited to maintain a high-quality learning experience for every participant.
A Day at Camp
A balanced schedule of learning, exploration, & fun.
Each day at camp is designed to keep students engaged and energized through a variety of structured activities and free exploration time. Campers begin the day with flexible exploration time followed by learning sessions that introduce new STEM concepts.
Throughout the day, campers participate in hands-on team challenges, brain teasers, coding and robotics activities, and creative problem-solving exercises. Breaks for snacks, lunch, and free discovery time allow students to relax, recharge, and explore exhibits while building friendships and teamwork skills.
STEM Skills & Learning
Building critical thinking, collaboration, & innovation.
Camp activities focus on developing essential STEM and life skills through interactive projects and experiments. Campers learn to apply the scientific method, explore engineering design concepts, and tackle challenges that encourage creative problem-solving.
Through collaborative activities and group challenges, students develop teamwork and communication skills while learning how science and technology influence the world around them.
Expert-Led Experiences
Learning from scientists, engineers, & community leaders.
Each week features special sessions led by local experts who bring real-world experience into the camp environment. Guest presenters may include scientists, engineers, environmental experts, and community leaders who guide campers through interactive activities and demonstrations.
Campers may also participate in mindfulness and wellness activities led by instructors in areas such as martial arts, yoga, and Pilates, helping students build focus, confidence, and resilience.

Learn the basics of entrepreneurship and financial thinking while turning creative ideas into exciting opportunities.
Cosmic Quest
Blast off into space exploration through hands-on activities about astronauts, planets, and life beyond Earth.
Mad Scientist Mash-Up
Solve puzzles and experiment with exciting chemical reactions while exploring the mysteries of science.
Planet Protectors
Learn how to protect the Earth through recycling, renewable energy, and creative eco-friendly inventions.
